Dan & Katie 9-26-09

Saturday afternoon brought me back out to Esperanza Mansion for Dan & Kathleen’s Wedding Reception.

The weather was a little less then desirable outside on the patio where we provided wireless sound, but not so much that it prevented the guests from enjoying some of the beautiful views that Esperanza has to offer.

We began the evening in normal tradition, with Grand Entrances from the back hallway, Parents first, followed by the Wedding Party and Newlyweds.

Introductions were done to:

Parents for Bride and Groom: Unchained Melody – Rightous Bros.

Wedding Party: Forever - Chris Brown

Dan & Katie: Thunderstruck – AC/DC 

Following introductions, we went right in to their First Dance, “This Years Love” by David Gray.

Dan & Katie chose to save their Parent Dances for after dinner, so the First dance led us right in to a Thank You by Katie’s Father Jim, followed by Toasts from the Maid of Honor Mercedez and Best Man Craig.

After Dinner, Dan and Katie shared their dances with their parents, and followed it up with the Cake Cutting.

Father/Daughter dance: “Angel in my Arms” by Gloria Sklerov and Barbara Rothstein

Mother/Son dance: “Godspeed” by The Dixie Chicks

Cake cutting: Sugar Pie Honny Bunch

After the cake, I invited all of the Married couples on to the dance floor for the Anniversary Dance. Dan & Katie chose to celbrate with both the winners and “losers” of the Anniversary dance by presenting both the longest married couple, and shortest married couple with a bouquet.

Once we were through the formalities of the day, it was open dance for the remainder of the evening. Dan & Katie brought with them a group of very fun and very energetic guests. As a dj/mc, I feed off the energy of the guests. When they’re having a great time, I’m having a great time!

It was a Great Saturday.
