Scott & Leanna 9-12-09

Saturday, we had the opportunity to entertain a great group of people at a new location. This Saturday we were out at a place called Six Mile Creek Vineyards in Ithaca NY. This was a pretty cool place with a great on-site Ceremony location.

This weekend we had the opportunity to provide Ceremony and Reception services for Scott and Leanna.

The day began nicely with a Ceremony overlooking their on-site lake. I provided the efficient with a lav mic and added a second wireless on a stand for the readings that were to take place. Everything for the Ceremony went very nicely.

After the Ceremony, Scott & Leanna had asked their friend Bruce to play some acoustic guitar for their guests. We wired his guitar through our Ceremony PA set-up and provided him with a wireless mic for vocals. It was really quite a pleasure to hear him sing. Really a fantastic musician.

The guest interaction didn’t actually stop there. For Grand Entrances, Scott and Leanna had asked if one of their other guests could do it, as he was pretty excited for the opportunity. These things can tend to go either way, but for this event, it worked out great. Doug took it upon himself to do a google search for each of the members of the Wedding party and pulled up whatever information he could find on that particular name, and used it to help the other guests “get to know” the Wedding party members. Most of the information he found actually had nothing to do with that particular person, but it sure was fun to hear some of the information he pulled.

Once we got through the Grand Entrances, we had toasts provided by Ray, the Father of the Bride, the Maid of Honor and Best man, followed by dinner and dancing.

Overall, it was just a great day with a great group of people. It was unfortunate that we had to end the party at 10pm as per village noise ordinance laws because I think we could have easily gone another hour with our open dance.
