Scott & Mariaelena 9-5-09

This weekend turned in to a very busy and excellent week for FLE, as well as myself.

Friday night I was out at Ventosa Vineyards assisting Nate with a large event that he had booked. His coupled had chosen one of our larger packages which included up-lighting and video dance party. It was a great way to start my weekend. Once he’s had a chance to blog that wedding on his page, Ill provide a link.

 Saturday evening I was back over to a venue that I haven’t been at since 2007 called Dano’s Heuriger. This is a pretty cool little place in Lodi, NY, overlooking Seneca Lake. There menu consists of a number of great German type dishes. It’s always an interesting change from the norm.

Scott and Mariaelena were a lot of fun to work with. They were looking for a very particular mood for their Reception, which we were happy to provide. They had requested our lighting be kept to a very minimum. They had hung lighting from the tent that they felt set the mood they were looking for and didn’t want our lighting to interfere with that. For this, we set our under the table light on a light white glow to match their lighting and left it static for the evening.

Their playlist was also pretty particular. They had requested that I play some of the classics that all of their guests would enjoy, but also wanted a nice set to include tango/salsa style music. We introduced this using a tango that Scott and Mariaelena had practiced and rehearsed. After a set of oldies, I did a small introduction for their tango, and  the dance floor was theirs! A spot on performance that was enjoyed by all who watched. Excellent job guys!
