Todd & Kristen 7-17-09
We were back at it again this weekend for another double header. We started off Friday afternoon at Esperanza Mansion for Todd and Kristen’s Ceremony and Reception. This one was scheduled to be a pretty long day but worked out to be a great one!
We began the afternoon with Todd and Kristen’s Ceremony on the patio at the Esperanza. We had some rain earlier in the day but things seemed to clear up nicely just in time for the Ceremony. Shortly thereafter, the rain came back.
I provided Pastor Chuck with a lavaliere mic to perform the Ceremony with. This worked out perfectly as it also picked up Todd & Kristen and they exchanged their vows. We did have a wireless handheld microphone with a stand on hand should we need it, but the lav did a great job.
I should mention that there were some strong family ties with Disney World. Because of this, they had chosen music from Disney for some of their Formal dances and Entrances.
Ceremony Song Selections:
Processional: DJ’s choice, “Wedding Style” background music
Groom & Groomsmen together: “January Rain” – David Gray
Bride & Bridesmaids together: “Glasglow love theme”
Recessional: Epcots Illumination Clip – Disney

The Ceremony set-up. Small and compact and tucked away in a corner.

First Dance - "Sweat Pea" by Amos Lee

Cake Cutting - "Wishes, Pirates" - Disney

Parent dances were shared with Kristen and her Father and Todd with his Mother.

Parent Dances shared to "The Way you do the Things you do" by the Temptations

Once we were finished with the Parent Dances, we opened the floor for everyone. These guys were big fans of Motown music, so my playlist for the evening contained more Motown then normal, but the guests all had a great time with it. This Reception also provided the opportunity for 3 1/2 hours of open dance time. Generally, this is quite a long time for guests to be dancing and I’ll honestly say I never thought they’d make it for the full 3 1/2 hours.
I love it when they prove me wrong!

Kristen and Todd’s Wedding Day turned out to be a lot of fun. They had a people come from afar to join them for their big day and by the end of the evening, my impression was that they were glad they did!
Todd and Kristen, Thank you for having us out for your big day!
Best wishes,
Jason
