This Wedding Reception was a Great time! While we don’t often do too many “themed” Receptions, Elise and Russell went with a cowboy ranch theme for their Reception, and with the help of Elise’s Mother Kim and a group of other friends and Family, they absolutely pulled it off!

Their Reception was held at Georgia’s Tree Farm in Prattsburgh, NY, owned and operated by Elise’s parents. I ran in to Kim, Elise’s Mother, in 2007 while dj’ing one of the craziest Receptions I’d ever had. Kim was their with her photo-booth, Fingerlakes Photobooth,  and followed up with us shortly after to dj Elise’s Wedding. For one evening, what was the tree farms workshop and garage, turned in to a very cool Western Styled Saloon.

Fingerlakes Entertainment provided amber up-lighting for the perimeter of the room and ran our Canandaigua package. During the weeks leading up to the Reception, Kim worked diligently to pull old western black and white movies off vhs and dvd’s, which we projected on the wall behind us and let run all night. It was a really cool feature that definitely added to the feel and decor of the room.

This was just a really fun event throughout the evening and we were glad to be part of it!

Congratulations Russell and Elise. Best Wishes to you both!

Steve and Samantha exchanged their vows on July 3rd, 2010 at the Geneva Ramada Lakefront in Geneva NY. We had the opportunity to be part of both the Ceremony and Reception. If ever their was a fair weather day for a Ceremony, I think this day may have been it. Overlooking Seneca Lake, the weather couldn’t have been better.

The Ceremony was short and sweet, just the way Steve and Samantha wanted it to be. During our meetings, they expressed that they just really wanted their guests to have a good time and were looking forward to some fun introductions and dancing.

After they exchanged their vows, we had some fun doing  sports-themed introductions to the Chicago Bulls theme song. Steve and Samantha provided me with some information on their Wedding Party members and we incorporated that in to our introductions. The entire day was just a blast and seemed to go by way too quick.

This was also the introductory event for Fingerlakes Entertainment’s newest assistant Mikey V from Ithaca’s Z95.5 who ran the camera for the evening. It was a lot of fun working with Mikey and you’ll be hearing more about Him and FLE as we move through the year. Welcome aboard Mikey V!

I’ve been working on trying to capture some introduction videos lately, and I’m still working on camera placement. I added it to this video as I thought they were clear enough to hear, but we’ll continue to work on camera placement until we dial in the camera audio better.

Steve and Samantha, Congratulations and Thank You for having Fingerlakes Entertainment out for your Big day!

Best wishes!

Megan and Damon exchanged their vows on June 19th at Bristol Harbour in Canandaigua NY.  It was a warm, but beautiful day for them. While we didnt provide music for their Ceremony, we were present as we prefer to be set-up prior to guest arrival.

The Reception was very cool, with some fun introduction songs, emotional parents dances and great toasts. Once we got through the formalities and dinner, Megan and Damon just chose to void the garter, bouquet and other “add-ons” and just spend the evening partying with their guests.

As the DJ/MC, we certainly dont have any issues with this as once we get the dancing started, we’d prefer to just keep ‘em rolling and dancing through the night.

Congratulations Damon and Megan!
