Frank & Wendy 05-29-10

Saturday the 29th brought us out to the Canandaigua Inn on the Lake for Frank and Wendy’s Ceremony and Reception. I had an absolute blast planning this day with Wendy and Frank. They had FLE build some custom slide show presentations for their First dance and Parent dances, as well as a slide show that would run all night, composed of a collections of hundreds of photos that they had collected over the years. All of the slide shows went over very well and everyone shared some laughs seeing many pictures from years ago.

Frank and Wendy’s Ceremony was held lake side. We provided a lavaliere mic for Frank, which was used to pick up their exchanging of vows and a hand held for the efficient and the readings. Wendy’s walk down the aisle was done to a beautiful song that they selected, “Chasing Cars, Snow Patrol – piano version” by pianist Steve Sui. The Ceremony was beautiful with nice vows, a nice breeze coming off the lake and the releasing of butterflys, most of which cooperated.

After the Ceremony, Frank and Wendy went off with their photographer for photos, while their guests had a couple hours to retreat to their hotel rooms for some cool air and rest before the cocktail hour began.

After cocktail hour, we had a lot of fun with the  Introductions. Wendy and Frank provided me with a great write up of each of their Wedding party members which we used for multi-song, multi-scripted Grand Entrances. There were 14 of them, but Wendy and Frank did a great job with the write-ups, making them fun and entertaining. Because of their footwork, the guests and Wedding party members all shared a ton of laughs as we read through them.

First dances and Parent dances were each accompanied by dedicated slide shows and once we got in to the dance portion of the evening, Wendy and Frank opted to forgo the bouquet and garter traditions and just party the evening away. And that’s just what we did.
